Flapper lace dress gently curves the body. With full length the dress demonstrates the elegance of black lace. Most significant is the simple tailoring with its linear style. This could be altered to fit you like a glove! Scalloped lace finishes the strapless top as well as the hemline. A flesh tone sheath lines the dress.
The label reads “Rose-Marie Roussel for Phillipe Pasteur 817 Madison Ave- New York”.
While the origin of the dress is unknown. This dress was purchased pre-loved in a vintage shop in late 1990s. Upon research the designer Rose Marie Roussel is an upscale design house active in the 70s-mid 80s. Also, the label links this dress to a 817 Madison Avenue New York. Most notably, this location is an upscale retail space in the upper East Side of Manhattan which homed Donna Karan’s flagship store. Therefore, the dress and its designer appear to point to high end origins.
The dress has gentle wear which relates mostly to the inner lining. Some lining staining and seam repairs are evident. Darts at the waist and bust have been let out to accommodate sizes. One stay is missing from the side seam around the bodice. There are no apparent tears to the outer shell of the dress. Due it its pre-loved condition, a new owner will be thrilled to customize the dress to their own shape. It has a 12″ acrylic zipper in the back. A kick pleat in the back measures 16″.
The dress measures 32″ BUST 32″ WAIST 36″ HIPS.
It measures from top of bodice to hem 42″.
The model sizes at 2-4P. It fits loosely.
Could be worn AS IS or could be brought back to its original designer excellence.
