Separates

Separates reflect your individuality! Mix and match.

Separates are lovely universal items like sweaters, skirts and blouses. Meant to mix and match, they became popular in the 50s with sock hop dressing. The cardigan and the skirt make up this trend. Extravagant beading and satin piping are details of the beautiful fifties cardigan. Pearl and toggle buttons are also fine accents. Full circle skirts were popular at dances and became an iconic fashion piece of that decade.

The 60s made the blouse popular. Ties and ruffles on sleeves and collars, whimsical fabric prints identified the blouse as a fashion favorite of this era. And who can forget the clam digger crop pant?

The wrap skirt was the fashion favorite of the seventies. Made in polyester or cotton, they identified the bohemian movement in fashion. The leather jacket, the peasant blouse or the halter top are Woodstock iconic fashion wear.

And the 80s? The Glam Rock T Shirt and the designer jean.

Separates reflect a woman’s desire to get away from formal suits and to be more individualistic! They show a woman’s casual side and in many ways voice her independence from conventional dressing.
